Announcing the First Annual Raccoon Rally!
Now that our students are all in their places with bright shiny faces, it’s time to get our Fun Run Fundraiser going! We thought it best to introduce this event in a Q & A mode. Here we go!
What is the Raccoon Rally?
A school wide event on October 6, 2023, in which all students and staff participate
Grade 3 - 8:00 am
Grade 4 - 9:00 am
Grade 5 - 10:00 am
Students are encouraged to solicit pledges and run/walk laps to raise money for their school.
What are the goals of the Raccoon Rally?
To help fund Randall programming, including classroom furniture and classroom technology
To include the entire Randall School Community in a fun and healthy activity
What do students do for the Raccoon Rally?
Collect pledges (more to come on this process)
Run/walk a looped track on the school playground for 20 minutes on the day of the Rally
What do parents/guardians do for the Raccoon Rally?
Help your child recruit sponsors before the Rally.
Dress your child for running/walking according to the weather conditions on the day of the Rally
Help your child collect pledges and thank their sponsors after the Rally
What are the takeaways for students from the Raccoon Rally?
An appreciation of teamwork and the strong school unity at Randall
A FREE t-shirt and healthy snack on the Rally day
What about pledges?
Sponsors can pledge an amount per lap or a set amount.
A receipt will be sent home for donations greater than $250 or by request.
If your family prefers not to solicit pledges, please consider making a donation to Randall.
What happens after the Raccoon Rally?
Students collect pledges not made online, with checks payable to Randall (more to come on this process).
Turn in pledges in the pledge envelope by October 13.
